End-stage Renal Disease (ESRD Stage 5)

End-stage kidney disease (ESRD) or kidney failure happens when chronic kidney disease progresses to an advanced state (Stage 5), functioning at less than 15% of typical kidney function.

Signs and symptoms of end-stage renal disease include appetite loss, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle cramps, changes in urination amount, high blood pressure too difficult to control, and swelling of your ankles and feet.

For end stage renal failure treatment, our nephrologists may recommend urine and blood tests to monitor your high blood pressure and kidney functions regularly. Accordingly, you may require a kidney transplant or dialysis.

Disclaimer: Lab tests are not done in our clinic, but you can consult our nephrologists for your lab reports.
